Boiler Expansion? Pipe dripping

I have a Valiant boiler, a wall hung thing. There's a copper pipe sticking through the wall, presumably out of the back of the boiler and it has started to drip. Is this normal? Is it likely to be a fault easily rectified or is it likely that I will have to put my hand in my pocket for new parts?
Thanks.

That's a safety pipe, you've got a problem that's causing the system to pressurise too much.
You really need to get a Gas Safe engineer to come and make sure it's safe and fix the problem.

Let us know your location and someone nearby might be able to help.

Thanks Anz. I've switched the boiler off and have a call out for the local guy. Fortunately it's summer time and we don't need the radiators on - and there's an immersion in the hot water tank. Cheers
