Been told that heat pads need changing in my boiler every year. trying to find out what they are and how much they cost but no luck.

could someone please tell me what they are and what they're for?

thanks

These heat protection sheets of insulation in the combustion chamber do not need changing unless they are damaged

How much is you gas man trying to charge you?

it's through a boiler insurance scheme so no charge at this stage, think plumber or plumbing firm is trying it on. according to insurance company certain things must be carried out to continue with insurance cover - things that the plumber is stating.

i just want to make sure that i have all the facts before i contact them to clarify certain things.

As Simon say's, they are only ever changed if damaged or worn...........certainly NOT every year!!!!!.....if they become damaged or worn every year you have big problems elsewhere.
