I am looking at swapping a combi fitted in a shower room.
What is the deal with the zoning, which zones are ok or not?

from the shower it is zone 3, but there is a basin that probably would mean the bottom corner of the boiler is in zone 2.
I said I would get back but felt that a cupboard would be needed.
where is the final word on this, is it just the leccy regs??

wouldnt ever put one in a bathroom based on the fact that steam and pcbs dont work, its the nightmare callback.

I will gladly put one in zone 3, buy any electrical control will be outside (except there is an openable cupboard to hang appliance, then I'll put isolation switch in there)

done a bit more research, boiler is rated at IP 44, so ok for zone 2!

It just looked wrong where it was??

A boiler fitted with a mechanical timer or RF mechanical timer (receiver) shouldn’t be in the zone 2. Boiler installation in a bathroom or shower room should only be considered if there is no alternative location.

based on the ip rating...stick it above the bath.
then you can run the condense and blow off straight into it.lol

theres anew estate at basford all boilers in bathroom!!
