Pick up my 60 plate Ford Transit today manheim auctions in leeds.

paid £4100 inc fees and vat 92000 on the clock full service history in yellow (ex city link van leased by lex autocare) and yep i specifically wanted that colour so it will stand out. it has the odd little dink here and there but its not a bad motor.

Always wondered what the big deal was with Transits and i'm well impressed with it. its a long wheel base version drives really well.

its always a bit of a gamble when you buy at auction but im very happy with it. i think the colour may have people off because white transits were going for about £6000 before fees around the same age.

Anyone else bought vans from auctions

my last van was french although with a fiat badge (duccato) but a relay really all made in the same factory. but would have cost me over a grand to fix after its MOT last week. got my money worth out of it though nothing majot went over the 3 1/2 year i had it. but the transit is better im a convert now.

I love the way transits drive, like a car. Great to work out of as well.

I like transit's, bodywork isn't the greatest on them but look after the engine and it will go round the clock twice.

I'm a Blackburn fan however so hope yours seizes first day.....lol.....only joking pal, mines a 2.0l TDDI MK6 and pulls like a train.

good vans, same engines as the latest defender, however if it has no rust underneath at the moment,i would strongly advise you get it treated with waxoyl or similar to make it last, good vans, lack of rust proofing sadly

about 10-11k is about right for 2008 years,as long as mileage is under 100k

Congratulations and all that but with all this transit love around it's be rude not to hijack this thread as my 09 swb transit is still for sale....

I'd love a transit but just can't find a deal. Anyone know any decent auctions in the dorset/hants area

It's a cracking looking van. Can't believe it hasn't been snapped up.

Same with Mercedes Vito's, absolute rust buckets but for some reason are held way above most other vans. The VW Transporter is a cracking van no wonder they hold money, every surfer in the country want's one.
