[h=6]Bring our boys home now! How many young bits of boys in our army out there in Afghanistan have to be killed for this government to realise that they are fighting a war that they cannot win.

My thoughts and condolences go to the families of the 6 soldiers killed this week.

i totally and wholeheartedly agree. if the usa can withdraw all of their troops why on earth cant we?

I agree those young men are fighting a loosing battle
I just got home from a funeral my self 10 minutes ago and at 70 years old its hard to deal with when they are close. I can not imagine how in this world I could cope with burying my son or daughter

Members of my squadron are on their way to Afghan as I type this. Not a good time to be going as Summer approaches.

Ash, I think you're doing the right thing and getting out of the army at this time. I pity those poor guys over there and it's going to get worse for them with government cuts which will affect their equipment levels and ultimately their morale. Our Army is amongst the best in the world and I know that some may say that soldiers put their lives on the line as a career choice but that doesn't make it alright for young lads to be brought home in bodybags for a war that no one will ever win. Our UK government seems to be "selective" about the wars it wants to get involved in. Syria and Mugabe got ignored! The americans say "Jump" and our lot say "How high?" Why does it always have to be the UK getting involved?

I really genuinely feel so sorry for the families of those poor boys, and I sincerely hope that this conflict ends sooner rather than later and our boys are brought home safely.

i also agree they should be brought home, should never have been there in the first place, it's not our war. The powers that be treat war as a business, we need to stop the fat cats getting commision from the arms trade. corrupt governments putting profit before lives.

No one is holding a gun to their head and forcing them to join the British Army.

I know a lot of guys out there and my family does a lot for Help for Heroes and I know that 90% of the men and women there belive they are doing the right thing and making progress. and if we pull out then then them poor lads and lasses have died for no reason what so ever!

They do a fantastic job and have 100% of my respect and I would never want to do it and I dread hearing any bad news of my close friends and family out there. But they are in a war, and people will always get hurt as horrible as it may be.

RIP
