Can I use the wet area before it is tiled?

Crazy question maybe, but can I take a shower in a completely tanked (with waterproof backerboard - not the cement-based stuff) wet area before it is tiled? I ask as there will be a delay before the tiler can come and tile and we need to remove the existing shower while we wait.

In theory yes but it all depends how good your waterproofing is

Me personally I wouldn’t

No is my advice high moisture levels will be created and trapped in the floor once tiled, the tanked surface will be stained and affected by hygiene products . Kop

Thank you both. Not the answers I was hoping for, but I'm glad I asked now. Anything but a resounding yes would have put me in doubt. Two no's has sealed it (excuse the pun) for me
