Buildingmyhouse

Hi there, currently living in a mobile home with a combi boiler. Have a small 300 long x 300 high rad in living room but not enough heat. I cannot find a radiator (cheap) that is over 600 high with a 300 width. Can I mount a 1200 long x 300 wide on it's side to achieve the goal ? I realise the connections will have to go underneath, but will it work ?

Cheers

Never done it but have seen it done so should be ok, you might want to tap into it on opposit corners to help with flow thr the radiator.

I spent 2 years living in a mobile home while I built my own house...Some of the coldest winters I have ever had!!!! One trick to help keep heat in is to block off the gap between the floor of the 'van and the ground, I used 3/4 ply and some 3x2 posts to keep the wind out.

It will work fine on it's side.
The only problem you will have is you will need to make up brackets yourself to support it from the top and bottom

will work fine, not sure the convectors will do their job as well as fitted correctly but thats all

if its a stelrad type which has top bottom connectors each side just use the connections on one side or tuther
