Cant get to the washer on sink tap..

Me again !!

The hot tap in the bathroom sink has started dripping so i thought i`d change the washer, tried using GT85, plus gas and a de scaler but the bottom nut wont budge no matter how much pressure i use. the main problem is the whole tap does move quite a lot, we have the old material/synthetic/nylon looking pipe that goes into copper pipes and its not stable.

I was thinking about changing the whole taps but the nuts are impossible to get to with the tools i have, is there a tool that will fit in such tight spaces ??

plumbers have a massive choice of the right tools in their vans, its why they can do it quickly 🙂

jaw dropper or cut pipes and take sink off the wall if thread is too scaled as you probably wont be able to undo it due to lot of limescale

Box spanner usually does the trick only ever not been able to get a a tap out ended up grinding it out with a small angle grinder but you have to be confident and have a steady hand i wouldnt recommend you doing it though

Thanks for the helpful replies , i`ve ordered some box spanners but i think the jaw dropper is a bit pricey for a small job..
