dont cover that far up and Ive lost my passport, so anyone in Northampton for a leaky lady

trvs will come on initially at low settings
No they don't.

A TRV in a cold room with the heating off will be fully open. When the heating is turned on and the room temperature rises the liquid/gas/wax in the head expands and the pin goes down so the valve closes a bit. On a properly balanced system the TRVs should not be switching between open and closed but just opening and closing a little bit to maintain the correct room temperature. A bit like the way you maintain a constant speed by using a car's accelerator.

Its Xmas OH YES THEY DO BEHIND YOU and she doesnt want to know now she just wants a plumber!:30:

not being mean or sexist but when you get the trv head off and you move the pin and it comes out leaking water what are you going to do then, call in a plumber who has A. a pipe freezer (electric not in cans) and B, a wet vac to catch any spillage. Get him to drop off and replace the trv. cost 1 hours labour, £30-40 freezer hire charge (nothings for free, but saves a drain down and refill) plus a new trv
and you cannot freeze moving water!!

northamptons darn saarf from me.lol
