Hi all

Ive been asked by a custard if i can reline the chimney, im always up for work but i have no idea where to start with this one can you guys advise how to go about this task ? its a terrace house with a brick built chimney she has a wood burner in at the moment but shes not said if shes keeping the wood burner or going for a DFE or the reason she wants it lined, Ive only been left a note asking if i can do it,

thanks for all you input positive or negative 😛

Easy job but obviously having decent ladders and really needs two of you (one to feed from top and one at bottom to pull it through. I'm assuming it isn't lined already? Obviously if she wants solid fuel stove you need to be Heatas to sign off/fit the stove.

its hard to comment without knowing what appliance she wants LOL.

if its solid fuel staying in get a quote from a hetas engineer, drop your middle man fee ontop and sit back and let somebody else do the work.

if its gas the chimney will need a proper cleaning by a good sweep.

yeah thats it if she wants the solid fuel then i wont touch it as im not Heatas, the stove is already in place so i will hopefully get her to have a dfe.

think you would find it a tad difficult if its a standard 9x9 chimney sticking a 7 inch liner down it for solid fuel or a dfe
