Hello, I have an Ideal Mexico boiler in a cupboard under the kitchen tabletop. If I replace the old loft tank and upstairs immersion heater with a mains-throughout-the-house combi boiler can this new boiler be in the same position as the old boiler. I don't want to remove the upper cupboards in the kitchen. Thanks.

Not enough clearance for a top flue boiler. The only boiler I know that fits under a kitchen worktop withithin manufacturer's clearences is a gloworm flexicom as it has a direct rear flue. I have only fitted the heat only variant but I would think the combi version will be at least 700mm high so that leaves 200mm you would need to check. The only other option may be a floor mounted boiler but I am not sure of the flueing arrangements for these but I would think one would go try the Worcester highflow.

Get a fitter out to survey the job you may well find a combi in the airing cupboard will work since most of what you need is already there except gas.
