Converting from TRG100 to something else

Hello All,

It looks like I'm not going to find an installer for a new TRG80 as nobody at HETAS has replied to the loads of emails I sent asking for advice. So, I'm looking at alternatives.
We have no gas and can't afford to connect and most of the wood pellet systems are out of our price range.
We are thinking of electric boiler supplemented with solar power. We live in the Manchester area in a 6 bed farmhouse built approx. 1750.
Any advice would be great.

Electric boiler because u can't afford gas? That's a false economy.

Do u have access to wood and pallets ect? Wood gasification boiler and a thermal store ( bigg whoop bum one) not a stupid Albion 200l.

Having read your previous part about a quote for the gas.

had one recently for over 15grand, called around different contractors and having it done for under four.

as for fitting that boiler, hearing they have issues, no wonder you're not getting replies!
