I fitted a thermostatic mixer shower and twin impeller shower pump 2 weeks ago, both were replacements same place as what had been in for 6 years. Anyway had problems from day one which i presumed was pump. Pump kicking in now and again.Very temperamental, So swapped and fitted another pump, same problems. Now im wondering if this could be a problem with shower causing this but carnt figure out why. As customer mentioned this morning that she thought it was very sensitive when turning through temperature. On trying it myself it didnt feel right and sometimes when you turn temperature through hot the pump stops, but still gets water through head. Then turn back to cold then it would kick back in. Not sure if this would affect pump though.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated before i ring triton regarding shower on monday. Not had a problem like this in 20 yrs !!! Thanks in advance.

Check what the flow rate through the shower is with the pump turned off.
You might not be getting enough to move the pumps flowswitch when the shower is adjusted to a hot temperature.

Whats the recommended flow rate without pump running ? as the water still comes through head ok on hot even when pump shuts off. Id say that there isnt much difference between cold and hot rate when pump is not switched on.
