The problem was there before the combi went in, just got worse when the combi was installed, no radiator valves changed.

It's a good idea to try each rad at a time and open all valves fully and check arrow pointing right way into thermostatic side. I will have another journey hope for easy fix, if not I'm pricing new pipework and valves

I would go along with most others in that it would need a flush out or good TRVs fitted. If you have a rad with no TRV does that one make ringing noise ?

( usually craving pictures ) ..Can we record an audio file ? and post it ?
( Technology - I have an app that shows dominant frequency ... but probably of no use -- Too nerdy ! )

Can well understand if no audio files allowed .. Can of worms for Moderators

Coz the Londoners and Essex boys wouldn't understand the Yorkies...simples🙂
And no-one south of Newcastle would understand the tartan transvestites .

My plan would be. Check to see if lockshields shut down quite a bit. Check TRV pins are not stuck half open. Flush system. It could of been the old pump was shot and not causing the problem and now with a new pump in a combi (probably a bigger pump as well) it is showing up the problem. I woulod also check with gas safe to see if it was registered with them and instruct the customer to get original installer back to fill out benchmark.

I usually find its the older TRVs that make this as they get older , you here the water as you open or close increase and decrease speed of flow
