I am plumbing in a new closet downstairs and am taking a hot and cold feed for the new sink/toilet from the supply pipes to the sink in the upstairs toilet above.
There is also a bathroom upstairs with bath/shower.
I have shut off my incoming main, shut off the cold water supply from the storage tank in the loft to the Hot Water tank (it is an indirect supply with cold water from storage in loft and hot water from the storage tank).
I opened all the taps upstairs and down (apart from the kitchen cold), and they all ran for a bit then stopped, but after cutting into the hot water pipe that I am taking the new feed off this started tricking water out.
It has been trickling consistently for over an hour now and its not subsiding. Its certainly not full power but a constant trickle.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can shut this off?
If this pipe is slowly draining the tank then I thought it would continue to come out at full pressure. I thought shutting off the cold supply to the storage tank usually means that tank shouldnt need draining.
cheers
