IMG_20160725_130341[1].jpg now i have had the clutch sorted on this, must say its a impressive bit of kit, smashed this 127mm through in 6 mins flat, however as with all core drills its dusty,i could wet core but that would be messy, anyone got the macrist dust extractor and i take it it cant be used with a slotted core?

It's a lovely drill. I have the dust extractor and it works well with my slotted cores.

i had a deal offer had the drill and a 3 core unslotted set, still have a few slotted cores though, does it screw onto the drill and then the extension arm into it?

Aye the dust extractors work fine. You need the solid cores tho.
Screwfix do a set of core bits with an extractor in the box

seen that the other day, could kick myself, should have bought it over the set i got

I had permanently broken bones on the back of my left hand until i was about 20 and learned not to miss. Then i bought a 6lb hammer lol

Ive got a good set up, but way to dusty to use inside a property. I stitch drill it, less dust. And it only takes me ten minutes.
I've yet to find a good extraction set up.

Yes mate although I have ditched the lump hammer and chisel and got an sds chisel.

Just can't be dealing of the mess from a core drill

Is it really worth the £550 price tag ? I've been looking at it for a while thinking its a bit pricey

Ive got the Macrist percussion core set (blue) with the extractor adaptor, supposed to use a fancy hoover but I'm a "poor plumber" so I use a Hetty, she sucks plenty and would highly recommend.

Think I got the set from core drill city on line.

I bought the kit about 12/14 yrs ago from hire center (part of plumbs group etc)
Makita 8406 (I think), Marcrist core set and a Marcrist wet/dry hoover with the dust extraction adapter
The hoover still sucks like a **** star and when the adapter is used, it's no more dusty than drilling to hang a rad
The end of the day the custard got to realise you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, so a small amount of dust is to be expected
