All I seem to hear about Dewalt XR is that they're not as good as they used to be. What price does the same Makita set come in at?

Its the latest xr range is it the same? Not sure about makita ive had a couple of there kits and have gone off them.

ive got the 18v comi drill. I think its a good piece of kit and im thinking of buying one of their bundle kits. Previous to this i was makita all the way, now i think there on a par

Sound it looks a really good kit but wanted first hand opinions, like i say i had nothing but probs with makita alot of lads at work say dewalt are better but they havent got the xr 1's yet

Sweet i think ill order the kit tomorrow £990 delivered with bags is the best price ive got. Ill let you all know how i get on with it. Also i need to double check this but theres a 3 year warranty with it.

I only use Dewalt kit and have their circular saws to their combi drills. Made to last IMO.

At that price I would DEFINITELY be buying milwaukee. Dewalt/Makita feel like toys by comparison.

I know what your saying but with te milwauke, id still have to buy a grinder and sds and another battery, and i dont really want to spend more than a grand

I've got the new Combi drill (DCD985), Impact Driver and Circular saw, XR versions with the 4 amp-hour batteries. They're all excellent, very well built, powerful, and the batteries last for ages.
