I'd forget a cordless angle grinder, they don't last long on batteries and most brands really struggle to cut anything decent.

i have had a number of battery grinders. dewalt, milwaukee, makita, bosch. The best cordless grinder imo is the dewalt with nicads. With l-ion batterys they tend to cut power to avoid overheating the battery's so tend to stall on hard materials. L-ion batters are good but they have there problems and if money is tight i would suggest sticking with older tech as the batterys last alot longer and are very cheap to buy.

hilti have a lifetime warranty on the machine if its manufacturers defect. 2 years no part no labour cost on anything and if anything goes wrong after they have a fixed cost at 1/3 cost of the machine.
i got a 36 volt hammer sds drill with a hoover attachment and it has all the above, so after 2 years it only costs 70.00 at max if anything happens.
dewalt panasonic had them all and hilti is the dogs balls and there customer service is the best
got a 18 volt cordless drill driver and impact driver and 2 batterys 3.3ah for 285.00+vat

yes metabo are quality bits of kit, very powerful the combi drill has 100nm of torque, twice as much as a dewalt xr range

My BHP452 has 50nm of torque and that shears screws and screwdriver bits, it depends what you use it for I suppose whether its worth paying extra for more torque.

what standards were used when the torque was measured? most manufactures use there own way of measuring these things so you cant completely trust the figures and only real world testing would prove anything. the dewalt say 50mm max in wood, i think the metabo also says 50mm max in wood.... so possibly real world results will show them to be simular?

the dewalt 36v has a max torque of 42nm and a max in wood of 65mm. if you go off torque values both the 18v dewalt and metabo should be more powerful. imo no chance.

my favorite cordless drill was the dewalt 24v dw006 which had 65nm of torque, it was hard work just holding it steady sometimes.

Its the same with watts on corded drills, after researching diamond core drills online for ages as I have, some give the 'input wattage' to be say 1300W but then in the specs in smaller writing it says power output 840W.

i just owned a dewalt xrp 18v lithum it was good but must admit bought 6 piece kit from metabo buit quality if far superior 2 dewalt or makita imo
