Probably a daft question but I will ask anyway ......
Just looking at the Ideal logic combi installation manual.
It has litres per minute at 35 degree rise
And DHW specific rate. What does this mean? maximum flow through the boiler?

Maximum DHW Input : 24 30 35
Nett CV kW 24.3 30.4 35.4
(Btu/h) (82,900) (103,600) (120,900)
Gross CV kW 27.0 33.7 39.3
(Btu/h) (92,000) (115,000) (134,200)
Gas Consumption m3/h 2.512 3.135 3.657
(ft3/h) (89) (111) (129)
Maximum kW 24.2 30.3 35.3
DHW Output (Btu/h) (82,600) (103,300) (120,500)
DHW Flow Rate l/min 9.9 12.4 14.5
at 35°C temp. rise. (gpm) (2.2) (2.8) (3.2)
DHW Specific Rate l/min 11.5 14.5 16.9
(gpm) (2.5) (3.2) (3.7)

Its the rate at which it can raise the domestic hot water from the incoming cold water temp by 35 degrees (or so). A bigger boiler will be able to heat up more water quickly, hence the DHW flow rate in litres per minute.

I'd imagine it is what size flow restrictor is in the boiler. You could get 14.5 l/min out of a 30kw, but the temperature rise would be less than 35c.
