Hi everyone im new here, ive got a problem with my diverter valve if i have the heating and hot water switched on, it only heats up the rads it wont heat the cylinder up. If i flick the switch to water only everything cuts out the boiler and pump stops running and if i switch the timer to off the black switch on the divertor valve moves across, then when i turn the heating switch back on the black swith moves back again and it all fires up. is the valve faulty? or a wiring fault? I basically cant get any hot water through the boiler i have to use the immersion to heat the tank up. any help would be greatfull.

:welcome: Storm 🙂

Sounds like the valve thinks there is not a demand for hot water. There could be several reasons ... Most likely is that the thermostat on the cylinder is turned down to low. If not then it could be faulty. Otherwise the programmer may be faulty and then lastly the diverter .... 🙂

you are a legend it was only the thermostat on the cylinder turnt down to low! previous owner had it set to the lowest setting, thanks guys for the replys!!
