There has been a noticeable loss of flowrate on both hot and cold supplies from these taps recently. All other draw-offs retain perfectly normal flowrates. These taps have ceramic discs but I am concerned whether they would feature built-in filters that perhaps require cleaning? Unable to identify the manufacturers. Any clues would be appreciated. Cheers. 😉

I've never came across taps with filters where your arrow is pointing. There is a filter in the end of the spout on alot of taps but yours dont look like they have this filter either. Is it both hot & cold sides that are affected? Has any work been done to the plumbing system recently? I had a call to a job a few weeks back where the hot flow was really poor, turned out to be a piece of cylinder foam stuck behind the isolation valve!

if it does have a filter it will be in the spout usually you have to unscrew the end of the spout and take the filter out

Thanks for the responses, guys.

Yes, I have taken the spout off of the tap body, but there is nothing internal that can be removed at either end. These taps are connected using flexible hoses. Do you think there is any likelihood that these could contract slightly over time, thus affecting flowrates? It seems a bit coincidental that this would happen on both hoses together, I suppose. When I check again I will look for any gunk but, again, it seems unlikely that it should affect both supplies.

By the way, there have been some occasional works going on recently to the water pipes around these atreets but, as I said earlier, no other appliance in the flat has been affected. Also the hot water comes from a cylinder.

Furthermore, it is a bit of a palaver to remove the entire tap body from the sink as the kitchen unit’s rear board sits in front of the area below the taps. No doubt a part of this will have to be removed in due course.

Cheers, guys.
