They have made too many faults. What is the scraper behind the pump for? .... scraping the bottom of plumbing disasters barrel?
Nice copper, done with bender & clipped is only way. I would always make sure distance from pump to pipes is enough to bend a pipe. Seen a lot worse though. You have no air free hot supply & they should repay you.

shower valve ?
the old shower used to work fine but the thermostat in the centre of the bar seized up hence we decided to update and replace what was there

The old cold feed for the shower that was taken from the feed to the cylinder.

Don't look too closely at that pushfit blank end or you might end up with a 15mm JG Speedfit eyeball.

All looks rather lazy to me. No doubt whoever installed it was told to get in and out quickly!

As others have said get someone to list all the problems/bad practices and then see what Homebase have to say.

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

it was attached to a pipe in the floor i think its a capped of feed for the shower
that now is run directly from the tank

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

the original copper pipework looks ok aswell, then some toss pot has came in and ruined it with his plastic pipework up the wall like an albino snake has just escaped from the zoo

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

Have to give credit, where it's due though, at least they didn't bend the pump hoses into all shapes. I have seen worse, but normally only done by DIY idiots!

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

they have used all different styles of possible bends/reducers speedfit have ever made

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

You get what you pay for should've got a local plumber rather than a diy shed, just nail the cupboard shut and forget it!

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

Probably went to the store and cleared the speedfit section, but not the clip shelf evedently they only had one left

Homebase = Rubbish. They let me down consistantly everytime I deal with them.

Any pics of the new bathroom, whats the finish like?

Now whilst I don't claim to be an expert plumber, the amount of dodgy installs that I see (currently doing reactive maintenance) it's unbelievable! Especially the amount of silicone that I find where it just isn't needed (between pans and cisterns is a common one) or ptfe tape on the thread of waste traps!

Isn't Danny in Kent? If you end up looking for a pro to do it and he's got some spare time he's your man.

I couldn't read all the comments, i only say i hope they didn't charge any money for that work, to be honest i have seen better quality DIY than that :willy_nilly😛rofessional job!

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

thats very solid.....not. i've fitted toilets like that. without any cistern to wall holes, the only fitting holes were on the base of the pan. i must add that my installations weren't anywhere near as loose as that lol.

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

I wouldn't rock it too much or you might find yourself using a bucket

That is seriously bad installation work. Get them back to it.

Re: Does This Look right it has been installed by homebase ?? its in the airing cupbo

No toilet should be directly fixed through laminate flooring to allow for expansion of the flooring. The laminate must be cut round the shape of the toilet and a 10mm expansion gap left. The toilet must be secured with non corroding fixxings. I use either M8 Stainless Steel coach bolts or size 10 x 75mm Stainless Steel screws, both are capped with a decorative cover and the toilet NEVER moves. No need for silicone on a toilet, it only hinders removal if the waste gets blocked and the toilet has to be taken out. It looks like your toilet was fixed with silicone only and a very small amount.

Get a real plumber in to fix it, I'm sure that a forum member will be only too glad to pop round.
