Turkey is cooked, all the veg is cleaned and prepped, patio table and chairs has been brought in and cleaned I know, I know I'm a redneck, but I'm knocking the kitchen and dining room through in the new yeaand gave the old one away
All Mrs Swamp has to do in the morning is cook the Pork and Beef, boil the guts out of the veg, do half a bottle of wine then shoot me a look for being 3 mins late coming from the pub
Anyone else got any Chrimbo eve rituals
I haven't gone to the pub on Christmas eve since the kids have been born, last thing they want is a grumpy, hungover old man for a father on Christmas day

BTW don't know what I've done to the font size, it just changed half way through

Be honest. You are too drunk already to operate a keypad.
My ritual is exchanging Christmas presents with my other half. Wish me luck!
Could be a good night.

I wrapping presents. And some sod must keep sneaking in and cutting the paper too short!! Hate wrapping. Then prepping all the veg for tomorrow. And then googling how long to cook a turkey without killing anybody!

Just prepped the veg. The amount of food is obscene really. Speaking as a man who's been on the bones of his arse in years gone by, eating food parcels from family members it makes me feel very fortunate. Enjoy the feast and drink what ever tipple takes your fancy but spare a thought for those less fortunate. I know we make our own luck in life but we're all one bad decision or one quiet month away from it.

God that was deep and meaningful. I'm having a drambuie to sort myself out!

So true Adam......most of us have seen harder times so appreciate what so many take for granted
On that note I'll join you with another Moretti.....God bless....Turnpin

I've done the veg, cooked the turkey and boiled and baked a large ham joint.

Unfortunately one of my friends died the day before yesterday. He went to bed on Wednesday night, suffered a massive heart attack and died in his sleep. He was only 47 and only got married earlier this year. His funeral is on Tuesday.

I was talking to a friend about him this morning and she said she realised that it's not what's under the tree that's important, it's who's around it.
