Hi Lads
I think I posted in the wrong forum before, new to this so will start again.
I am going to install a heated towel rail in the bathroom in place of the radiator and the pipes need altering,I am not a plumber but quite good at D.I.Y
I have watched the british gas plumbers use the plastic bungs in the header tank to repair leaks on the valves before.
I am thinking of doing this to alter the pipes for the new towel rail.
I notice that my radiator has 2 drain cocks fitted, one to each valve but other radiators in the house only have one on a few of them.
Is there a reason that the bathroom radiator has 2 drain cocks on it.
Will the bung meathod still work on this radiator or will I have to drain the whole system, my header tank and boiler are both located in the loft of the house.
Will be greatfull for any help.🙂

I agree, I'd drain it, then your not under any pressure or worrying about, what if this happens. It'll take the fear out of it and possibly a massive puddle......

Thanks secret squirrel, is it possible for me to drain just the level of the bathroom ie upper floor bedrooms and bathroom without draining the whole system, is that turn off rad valves on all rads first
