having fitted a new ariston unvented water heater (under sink) only a few weeks ago it appears to have developed a leak from the thermostat power seal. Can anyone help as to how to fix this problem.Been under the sink for a couple of hours now!!
many thanks

maybe there's a leak on the connections on top of the heater and it's dripping down and out of the thermostat ?
If it's the actual unit thats leaking it will be under warrantee if it's new so call Ariston out.

think I may have caused the problem by taking out a pressure relief valve that I was having problems with .unsure if this could have caused the boiler to leak.My presure relief valve is now back in but boiler continues to leak.Very grateful for your fast reply and suggestion and will try to contact ariston.Leak not coming from top of boiler connections .seems to be a seal around outside of boiler.
Can I take the seal off from the heating element electrodes and refitt in the hope this may stop leak

What was the problem with the p/ r valve, was it leaking, probably due to a fault,so you removed very important safety devise and now excess pressure has built up and looks like split unit, think maybe you are lucky you have got away with just that

imho

many thanks for info.still working on it and may have cured it !!!will let you know once I get it working again!!!(keeping fingers crossed)
