hi guys.
im new to this forum. im not a plumber but would appreciate some advice,my eland2 boiler was due for annual service on monday25th guy came to service it asked had any probs i said about a month ago pipes had been rattling and banging, he said he was only there to service and could not fix it had to get another engineer, but he reckoned the valve was not opening but the water was still heating up.. so next day another guy came out said here to do your service i explained that guy was out yesterday and that he was here to see what was causing the banging, anyway he said valves were ok the said ah heres your problem that the boiler safety stats were no longer attached to the heat exchanger, phoned his boss for advice, i heard his boss say to him can you spot weld it back on ,,he said nah,, then turned to me and said part was obsolete as my boiler was over 15yrs old . then stuck a sticker on my boiler disconnected it ,i have no heating or hot water ,he the said he get someone to come and quote me a new price for a boiler within the hour that was on tues hear nothing since, called them a few times but keep being set from one guy to the next, sitting here freezing, by the way the company is british gas and i have been paying them £600 per year for their maintenance plan.
any help would be great guys cheers
