Hi My friend has just moved into a 1960's flat which has electric wall heating and no gas. The hot water cylinder has stumped me. It has a cold feed but also has the hot and cold water coming from it . Well cold anyway, that is the problem there is no water coming out the hot water tap. All isolation valves are open and there is water in the tank ,I can hear it when I open the sludge. How much is in it I don't know it seams sealed. Does anyone have any ideas please.

He tried that and only got about a basin full out before it stopped. He's worried incase it burns out the element if there is not enough water in it.
