Just had a potential customer get in touch with me. They have just fitted their own electric shower and are stating that the temperature keeps cycling from hot to cold. As it's new, I suspect the problem may be that the mains pressure is lower than the minimum needed to operate the shower. Also, the safety thermostat could be kicking in if they haven't flushed the pipes properly before installation?

Does anyone else have any other possible ideas before I go and look at this? I don't deal with a lot of electric showers so advice is appreciated!

assuming its just cold mains fed try it without spray head maybe adding to low flow rate if okay will need different spray head or larger bore hose .
should still be under warrenty 🙂regards turnpin

If its a diy job it could be anything, but as you've already stated, probably the thermostat or it could be the solenoid valve. If it closes slightly it will fail to activate the micro switch which activates the heating elements.
