i've been to look at a 3 bed property today where it has no gas to it. the hot water is run from a small immersion heater with header tank (looks like prob fitted in 70's) and all rads are electric space heaters. the customer wants new shower fitting as she is going to be renting it out, however the shower would have to be fitted at other end of bath due to taps being under the window. i could turn bath round but she just wants a quick fix due to budget. the bathroom is tiny (2.2m x 1.3m) and that is where cylinder and tank are located in a cupboard.
she has also asked me to look into modernising the hot water system. i've looked at a 75 litre water storage heater (vented) from redring, but i'm a bit unsure about electric water heaters of that size as i've never installed them before. there will be possibly 3 or 4 people using the property and it is only for hot water purposes only .. bath, shower etc.
would that heater be about right for whats required?
