Customer wants Towel Rail water heated & electric heated combined...Copper tails have been left ready to fit electrics are in place. Is there a special TRV-style fitting that combines the electric wiring & the water fitting? Is this fitted to the flow pipe side as with a normal TRV? Thanks

when you order element for towel rail, you should get the tee piece needed the element has a 1/2 thread and fits into the bottom and water valve on the side

Basically it is a tee with two 1/2'' female end and centre and a 1/2'' male that screws into rad

Hi Puddle...looked at the towel rail & all is as you say although, The side with the elec heating element goes into the rail & needs tightened enough to stop leaks but with right amount of turns to have elec heating setting dial facing forward...any suggestions on joining/sealing where it goes into the rail (it,s quite a loose fit & only has a thin pink shamfered rubber gasket at bottom to seal, can i PTFE over this gasket or add/replace with a flat rubber washer or o-ring? Similarly on opposite side tail into towel rail is again a sloppy fit, seems to chew PTFE insanely. What about Gas PTFE, hemp & boss white, o-ring or flat rubber washer?? ...any sealing tips much appreciated.

Thanks Rich

If thread sloppy into towel rail and ptfe tape coming off, sounds like you are rapping tape on thread the wrong way,you can use other jointing compounds,no problem, maybe some lsx would help,as for element wire facing wrong way again as you say thread tape can be used ,extra washer and not just relying on rubber washer

imho
