Hiya new to forums so sorry if the wrong place.
I'm currently planning a thermal store installation for a new property being converted into a hmo .
I would like to zone every single bedroom and give the teanants a switch (like a light switch) which is also run into a tamper proof thermostat set to around 22.5degreec.

Is there any products which act as a timer when received a switch live will start to count, which I can take from the thermostat, to monitor the use of each individual's heating usage in hours .
So every month the landlord will be able to see the following
Room 1 : 13.4 hours
Room 2 : 7.1 hours
Room 3 : 2.5 hours
So on and so forth.

Thanks in advance .

We sometimes use Hours run counters like this if that's what you mean?

They look like they would do the trick, do they only count when a 230vac is detected and when the signal is lost (heating turned off) it remains at the number without resetting .
Thanks for your reply .

Yes.
We occasionally use them for counting the run hours of Boilers in Commercial premises. The clockwork ones are probably best. Simple and straightforward.
If you wire one off the switched live from each room stat to its Motorised valve it will be on all the time the Heating is running in that zone.

Would it be worth connecting them between the switch and room stat? If it’s for billing it could be unfair on those in the colder rooms?
Sorry - ignore that!
