ferroli optimax 25 c no hot water

hi , i have got heating but no hot water. the divertor valve was leaking so i replaced it. when i turn on the hot water ,the boiler makes a few banging sounds and the water pressure gauge goes up and down , this happens for only a few seconds. there is no difference to the flow of the water coming from the tap .the water is cold .any advice please . thanks.
