I was doing 42 hours a week in a chippie whilst doing my o levels.

Fish, fishcake, mushy peas, scraps and a bread bun. Loads of salt, vinegar and ketchup.

Fish cake or Scone?

I ask for fish cake on principle as to me a scone is what you eat with butter and jam. I hate the name scone in reference to a fish cake.

Fish and chips should be outlawed.....

Unless of course you have gravy on it like a civilised person does.

Best fish and chips i had ever were at Tarbert On the way down to mull of kintyre..

A couple of fishing boats in the harbour about 30 feet from the chippy door...

Must go back someday for more

If you ever come to NI let me know and I will point you to a really good fish and chip place.

Eaten out of the paper ?

SO the vinegar soaks into it a bit and gives off the fish n chip smell that warms your cockles.

Do you wash yours down wi a Pint o dog?
