I'm currently fitting my own central heating with a view for a local company to fit the boiler. Its a vented system at the minute but i want a combi.
The boiler will be fitted in the garage to the side wall of the house, my plan is to just run the pipework so the flow and return are on the opposite side of the wall. Originally i was going to also run the pipes through the wall but thought it would be easy and neater for them to locate the holes so they are in the correct spot for the boiler, also means i don't have to do the 1 meter of copper they can do that, im using Hep20 for the pipework.
There will be a 40mm waste pipe further along the wall for the cendense drain, i presume he can tee into that, it services a washer and dryer.
They will obviously be doing the gas as well as currently its a full length of 1/2" from the meter so i doubt that will be the right size.
Cold water runs on the opposite side of the house so i'm going to get them to do that as well, its currently also 1/2" from the stop tap in the street. But i will get them to use 22mm from a T to the boiler, as in the future im going to need to feed the bathroom from this pipe as well.
Does that all sound alright.
