fitting lead lock's without the swearing?

does anyone know of a good method of fitting lead locks? i usually have to resort to a rubber mallet to tap the fitting onto the lead but surely there is an easier way?

if anybody knows of any please let me know. 😀

buy the right size lead loc first!
otherwise you could shave them down with a lead scraper but i imagine some of teh old skool lead workers probably cringe at this!!!

usually just take a file to the lead. The old buggers go mad!!!!

Use a shave hook or serform type scrapper along the pipe
