Fix loose Jacuzzi toilet seat

View the thread, titled "Fix loose Jacuzzi toilet seat" which is posted in Boiler Advice Forum on UK Plumbers Forums.

Jacuzzi toilet seat fixings are loose and I cannot figure out how to tighten them. Nothing seems removal and they cannot be accessed from underneath. Can anyone please advise me how to tighten them? Many thanks and warm regards

I would say with the Seat down, but not the lid, you should be able to unscrew or lever off the caps on the top of the 2 chrome pillars which will reveal screws that tighten the fixings into the toilet pan.

Thanks. I’ve tried gently prising up the one that has a gap, but all that is happening is the cap is bending so if you’re right, and I agree with you, then they are seized. I’m thinking of spraying in some WD40 to help un seize them. Would you agree that is the best next step, or can you suggest anything else?
