hi all,im tiling a bathroom floor for a customer in 2 weeks and she has a plumber booked but he can only make it four days prior to my date of tiling, she needs the toilet unplumbed but clearly doesnt want to go without a toilet for 4 days,is it possible the plumber can uncouple the toilet from the waste pipe and butt it neatly up against it also adding a flexi pipe for the cistern fill so i can move the toilet accordinglywhilst tiling underneath it,i know its not perfect but is it possible? cheers🙂

depending on the height of the tiles an offset connector for the waste will be needed and it will need adjusting for the height, you would need to remove the toilet to tile under it so you insurance would need to cover it

I have had similar jobs. It should be possible to attach the outlet using a flexible connector (be careful some are more flexible that others - I always use Hepworth). One solution to avoid trying to connect the cistern is to use a bucket of water which has the same effect as a flush. It is not as elegant but some customers are happy to put up with it for a few days
