hi all ,

i have a fortic f1 hot water cylinder with a built in header tank with ball valve
the problem i have is the water in the header runs out after only 3 minutes of hot water tap being turned on.

ive changed the ball valve and lifted the ball up higher so it holds more water but hasnt made any differnce

and now im stuck , any ideas what the problem could be??

thanks in advance stuart

What is the pressure/flow rate like on the cold taps?
Is there a valve on the fortic inlet turned down?

there is a gatevalve on the inlet which is fully open and turned back a quarter , cold water pressure from taps when on full splashes water over.

inlet is 15mm outlet is 22mm

its a fortic, only good for filling a basin ! go unvented to get a decent flow and supply

but im in a flat would that matter? have no loft so would i still get the pressure if the tank was on the floor ??

at the minute the fortic is raised above the floor im guessing so it give me gravity pressure??

unvented is mains pressure, so best you can get, only issue is pressure relief pipework
