Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Franke Triflow in the kitchen.
The filtered water spout was dripping so I changed the seal kit with genuine Franke parts (FR9400).
Now when I turn on the hot water, it flows out of both spouts.
If I turn off the hot and turn on the cold, cold water comes out of both spouts.
If I only turn on the filtered water, guess what, yes you guessed it, filtered water flows out of both spouts.
I have been recommended to change the cold and filtered valves. (FR9146)
Any suggestions to solve this would be most welcomed.
Thanks

Double check the seals are fitted correctly and not allowing the water to pass to either side meaning it will come out of both outlets
Hi Tom, thanks for the reply. I think you may have the answer...which seals am I looking at particularly? I replaced the seal kit O rings on the nozzle that fit in to the valve housing. I didn't see any others.

I think I've found the problem. The spout is corroded inside where it joins the tap valve housing. Pieces of metal fell out when I took a look today.
It's a discontinued part. Any ideas where I might find a replacement spout model number FR9404?
Thanks for your help so far.

Hi Tom, Problem found....!! The internal pipe for the purified water had corroded and disintegrated. Hence the water was flowing from both holes. I've patched it up for now but I can't believe someone hasn't got a scrap one somewhere. Thanks, Ed

You've highlighted the problem right there "scrap". Any old taps go straight in the scrap bin. It's just not worthwhile hanging onto old taps just in case a part may come in handy.
