Hi there.
Hopefully somebody help me with my concerns. I have invite to do some central heating work with commercial permises, including fit new boiler. Obviously I'm GSR. But my question is: can I do it , if there is G10 meter, even this is commercial?
New boiler will be below70 kW.

regards Greg

What is the likely gas supply? If above 35mm then no.
You can install heating etc but gas would have to be tested & commissioned by commercial ticket holder.

Thanks for your reply.
Gas supply is above 35mm reduced to 22 in inlet meter. If a meter volume is 0.0025 whole gas installation not exceed 0.0035 I think.
Is that mean still I can't touch it without up1a or up1?

Greg

I have read 0.0035 and 0.35 on different books etc lol but I understood it to be .035 ??

This is from the igm website

So, yes that was my mistake. There should be 0.035 . But question is still actual- if whole installation will be below this limit can I touch it? Or I need somebody with commercial ticket to commissioning it?
Is here somebody from Glasgow area, who has a up1 and can help me with that?
Greg

It comes down to if the installation meets the above criteria.
You will have to surely do a detailed site assessment to ensure you fall within 1b and see what other gas appliances are on site.
Because its a commercial premises doesnt necessarily mean it will require a commercial ticket but what the place is used for and whats already on site will.
It could be a huge storage facility with just a couple of small offices and a canteen with a water heater.
Or it could have that and high level gas fired heating throughout places you cant see.
All this needs to be established.

As the pipework is above 35mm Greg you can't commission the gas system.
Hope you have a good bit of money in for this, as they tend to charge a good whack.

Thanks guys for your reply. I appreciate it really.

To be honest, right now there is just newly installed meter, with 22mm pipe after ECV. Outlet is capped. That installation will be just temporary for a while, as they want refurb all buildings. It will be just for CH, which cover 22 radiators. HW is from electric boilers. Right now they doesn't have CH.
In the future new CH will be cover by huge Biomass boiler or just Combi in cascade installation.
This time boiler will seat 2 meters from meter.
