I have got a gas fire to replace, a focal point supa 400, but I dont have much experience in installing fires. Can someone point me in the right direction of a decent brand or model of fire which they have found to be good and reliable and preferably not too expensive.

is it your fire? if not let the customer decide what they want, aslong as its suitable for the flue system and fits the opening you have without any building work then let them choose what they want.

Its not mine, its for a very elderly customer who has asked me to supply a fire similar to the old one. She doesnt want to be going out choosing one, and she doesnt have the internet. Just after recommendations of a reliable brand really as I dont have many dealings with gas fires. The opening size is 580mm high x 430mm wide x 340mm deep, standard brick chimney think about 8 inches roughly. Any help would be much appreciated.
