Gas safe registration

Hi guys, been under employers gas registration, but now going on my own when I register and pay the £360+vat fee how long is it before I get my registration number and am able to start gas work for my self, if any one can let me know the process I would very much appreciate it thanks

As you have you acs it should take no more than 48 hours tops. After doing mine it took around 6 hours once they had my acs details.

I got my number straight away and you will show on the website. You will have to wait a week ish for the card. You can start trying to recoup the £360 + vat with hard graft straight away.

Have you always been under your employers reg? If it's your first time alone don't be surprised if Gas Safe want to pay you a visit, ask questions and look at some of your installs etc
