A Glow Worm 24 (not 24 C)

The first time each winter central heating is turned on the boiler won't ignite. Glow Worm told me a new PCB was needed so had that fitted but problem still there. Gas keeps shutting off so have to keep re-setting. This boiler needs the pressure to be slightly higher than most which we always check. Today the gas kept cutting out, so re-set it several times then finally it just ignited and has been ok since. Has anyone had a problem with this boiler? I'm using a very experienced heating engineer that has all qualifications and he is baffled with it. Evidentially not many of these boilers were made, I think it was replaced with the 24C. Does anyone have the same problem? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

hmmmm, im not a big fan of glow worms to be honest becuase my story of them was 1 had 1 in my house and starting giving us problems 2 weeks in after install, phoned glow worm out and the engineer was a senior one he goes straight theres a faulty batch of these and your just unfortunate to have ended up with one, could be the condensate trap have that checked, they changed ours like 8 times on evey visit, had the pcb changed 3 times, im still baffled about it to this day and its been over a year.

hi mate am i right in thinking the timer has a square back with 4 screw holes in each corner and has 4 connections 2x power 2x switched spade type ? if so swap it for a baxi or simalar type

yep the 4 connectors just push on to the timer, go to a merchants and they will give you the correct timer slot in, just tell them what boiler you have.
