Has anyone come acroos this problem please. The boiler works fine both hot water and central heating, but when there is the initial demand for the central heating, the digital pressure reading drops from 0.8 bar to zero and the red warning light flashes. No fault codes are displayed. The reading will then rise slowly back up to 0.8 bar and all is well.

Some boilers have the pressure gauge on the negative side of the pump which causes this. top the system back up to 1.2 bar

No mate, It's always constant at 0.8 bar, I've just increased the pressure to 1.2 bar as previously suggested to see whether this helps- the internal filling loop worked for a change, no stuck nylon ball :-D . I have noticed that the pressure also drops to 0 bar when the boiler does it's occasional firing up and that when this happens the fan sounds different to when it has previously fired up and the pressure hasn't changed. Shouldn't be any issues with the fan as I fitted a new one last winter following the boiler packing up and a fault code being displayed for the fan. Can't recall what the code was other than it was F something.
