Glow Worm Betacom 30c

Morning all, went out to the above late last night, boiler showing sign of needing a powerflush but the whole system was only installed in 2011.

Boiler fires up in hot water, last around 30sec then shuts down

Central heating fires up, but only gets to around 40c then shuts down

Boiler don't go to lock out, just keeps trying to re-light

Doesn't show any fault codes/lights

Any common faults with these boilers?

If it's not a powerflush I was thinking PCB?

I would be inclined to check pump head first.

Yeah, give the circulation an inspection first, all radiators open? any heat on the return pipe of the boiler?

Boiler will not stay on long enough to get heat on the return pipe work

Strip clean pump and check flow sensors? Does it go in to overrun? Fan kick in when u power off?

I'd be checking sensors too ... if boiler on max it should be kicking out 80+ regardless of circulation IMHO 🙂

Agree with this, if it was circulation the boiler would be overheating and banging and kettling etc. If it is shutting off early, it sounds more like a thermistor issue.
