Please could anyone advise me on how to remove a stubborn faulty Thermistor on a 12 year-old Glow worm Micron 50ff boiler. I understand it is dry pocket type. However, I've used long-nosed pliers to extract it from the phial to no avail. :sweatdrop: I've sprayed the rubber grommet with WD40 prior to attempting its removal. Thanks in anticipation.

You're doing it right, just keep spraying it with wd40, know what you mean, but there comes a time when you have to pull abit harder than you really want to.... good luck

Thanks for the sound advice. As you say, I'll have to bite the bullet!

They are a nightmare to remove. Before now I have ordered a new sleeve and drained down the system and replaced it. It simply unscrewed and to be honest is probably the easiest option. Glow worm advise replacing this thermistor if the main pcb is replaced.
