Can you here anything running ? But as AP , you have done what checks you can, anything else you would need to Gas safe reg, if not once you remove the caseing it becomes illegal !

:welcome: to the forum mst2012 🙂

As said anything to do with a boiler lighting up and not staying on is for someone qualified! Could be something quite simple 🙂

You could post your whereabouts and a brief description of the problem here [DLMURL="http://www.ukplumbersforums.co.uk/im-looking-plumber-gas-engineer/"]I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas Engineer[/DLMURL] You can then vet out any replies, check out their posts etc..prior to giving them the go ahead 🙂

I read somewhere else to try and remove the wire from the condensate trap, tried this and it works perfect, not sure what the sensor on the trap does?

You have bypassed one of the safety devices on the appliance is what you have done.

If condensate siphon or pipe work becomes blocked the boiler will continue to run.

If its condensing then the liquid can back up in the boiler causing lots of problems.

Thats what the sensor is there to prevent.

Stop playing with things you dont understand then. Everything has a purpose and you are messing about with the safe operation of the appliance.

well, when you read abut another explosion then maybe these people will learn a lesson not to touch devices they have no qualification to work on.
