Gloworm Betacom 30C problem

90 Red light on, manual suggests gas/flame failure. However i have heard this can relate to condensate trap sensor problem? Any ideas guys?
 
These boilers are a pain in the bum on the condensate I've gone to no end of them with the same problem and it's always been the sensor on the condensate trap.

so if i disconnect the sensor and boiler runs, then what is the solution? new sensor?
 
so i went round and disconnected the wires and boiler ran fine, put back together and boiler ran for two days before same fault code. I am not a breakdown expert and could really do with a pointer of what to try now. Do i replace sensor/condensate trap?
 
Is the pipe work for the condensate clear iv been to 100s of these and most of then upsized the condensate pipe prob solved.
 
is the condensate backing up?bear in mind this is the same boiler as a heatline vizo so misdiagnosis will be a expensive mistake
 
Do not make a mistake on theses boilers the most expensive for parts in the world like gas man was expressing let's put it this way I have one of these boilers in my garage I bought it a few years ago brand new and already I've made profit on it in striping it down for parts!
 
Condense doesnt appear to be backing up. Runs into kitchen sink waste. I diconnected condense pipe and poured a kettle of water down and that did run away reasonably quickly. Might have to get someone else to have a look for a second opinion because i really am not confident or an expert on breakdowns!

Hi all, could really do with a little help if you would. I have search and searched the net and found that this seems to be a common problem with this boiler...(mines the 24c though) I am not doing anything to this boiler myself, I have a fully trained professional on the job, i'm just trying to assist him with as much info as i can get as he doesn't do the internet so well and i am a search-a-holic.

Everything thats already been said on this thread is the same problem as i am having..The gas failure light flashing...the whole condensate sensor issues...I rang Glow Worm regarding the mod kit you can get and they said that if the sensor (plastic blue cap thing that looks like those things you stuck in the side of the rads to stop mice going in) is situated at the side of the condensate then its the old version and can be replaced with the mod kit, if its situated at the top then that already is the mod version. Mine is situated on the top !! 🙁

My engineer has already checked this and there was some moisture on the sensor hence the flashing light.....he dried it and put it all back and it worked for about 4 hours....then off again.....he disconnected the sensor and all works fine then but obviously this is not the solution...he blew down the pipe (sorry i dont know all the technical names) and pored water down as has been mentioned in the above post and that ran through fine...however, when he unattached the condensate drain off pipe and hung over a dry bowel there is nothing, not even a trickle coming out...its like its not condensing.....thats where we are at the mo.....if this is the case and its not condensing where do we go from here.....? any help or advise would be gratefully received
