Glowworm Betacom 24C HW issue. Help need Please

Hi all,

I've been plumbing or years and have always wanted to do my Gas. So for the last 8 months I have worked with a good mate and got through my Gas a few months ago.

Since then I have been doing landlord work, simple boiler repairs etc.

Today I looked at a Glowworm betacom 24c. It has a HW problem, it fires up for a few seconds then cuts out. It keeps relighting and going out again. I have checked everything I can think of and rang Glowworm. I went through all the checks with them, ie checked thermistors ohms etc. They said it needs a new PCB but my gut feeling says it isn't the PCB.

Water comes out of the burner hot and the plate to plate gets hot but only luke warm water from the tap. Glowworm say its the board but I'm not happy!

Any ideas please
