Hi, thought my system needed flushing and new inhibiter adding ,all within my DIY skills or so i thought,
Opened the drain valve at the bottom of the system, connected a pipe to a tap and connected it to the F&E tank and watched all the brown rubbish flow out,so far so good,
Closed every thing up put in sentinel x400 then filled the F&E tank, bled all the radiators, switched on the boiler and nothing.
The boiler works, the pump works, there is hot water flowing from and to the boiler but NONE of the radiators will get warm
I have bled one of the rads so long I got hot water out of it, even bled the pump, but switch the pump on and nothing
What have I done wrong

It's sounds like an airlock mate.

Turn every rad rad off with the exception of on and let the pump clear that rad, when it's nice and toastie open another rad and then close the first. Repeat until all work then open them all up.

If you have TRVs then use those to isolate the rad not the lock shield.

In answer to your original question, " you b'gard it up" . Now this may hurt, drain it all down again, ensure your motorised valves are locked open, and fill the system up again slowly using the lowest drain off cock you have - dont fill via the f&e tank, then once you have proved its all working empty the f&e and add some of that expensive inhibitor again.

Agree but if boiler has temperature control, turn it down, so you don't destroy boiler and turn hot water only on first to remove air from boiler to pump?? Then do rads.

Main point is do as lame said , you have to manually open your zone valves to allow full fill , just remember there may be a bleed point on the coil at the hot water cylinder , you must vent that asswell,
